TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE – LE SCAHOUËT
ARTICLE 1. Scope of the Terms and Conditions of Sale
These general conditions, provided to the Client, form a contractual whole and constitute the entirety of the contractual relationship between Le Scahouët (TY ELMA company) and its Clients.
They govern the sale of stays by Le Scahouët and are valid at the time the order is placed, to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.
Le Scahouët reserves the right to modify its general terms and conditions at any time. However, the version applicable to the Client is the one accepted at the time of booking.
ARTICLE 2. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions
The Client is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions of Sale without reservation, in accordance with Article 1126 of the French Civil Code.
By ticking the box “I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions of Sale” when booking online or upon receiving the confirmation email to which these conditions are attached, the Client provides express, free, and informed consent — particularly regarding the use of personal data.
This acceptance applies both to the Client and to all participants of the stay.

ARTICLE 3. Booking
3.1 Booking Conditions
Booking methods – The Client may book online, by telephone, or in person.
Validation – A booking request is considered final once it has been accepted by Le Scahouët. Le Scahouët reserves the right to refuse a booking depending on availability or any circumstance likely to affect the planned stay.
The booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation (email or letter) including the rental contract.
To validate the booking, the Client must pay:
A deposit between 30% and 100% of the total amount of the stay, depending on the price and booking date;
Any optional cancellation insurance fees.
Electronic signature – Providing the bank card number online and confirming the booking constitutes proof of the Client’s agreement to pay and acts as a signature, indicating full acceptance of all operations carried out.
Participants and capacity – The booking is nominative. The Client must be over 18 years old, personally take part in the stay, and legally provide the names, birth dates, and details of all participants (including minors and infants).
Le Scahouët reserves the right to refuse any unregistered person. False information may result in cancellation of the booking.
For safety and insurance reasons, the maximum capacity of each accommodation must be respected (including infants). Exceeding this number will result in refusal of entry.
3.2 Important Information
Minors – For safety (swimming pool, emergency evacuation, etc.) and health reasons, minors not accompanied by their legal guardians are not admitted.
Le Scahouët is not authorized to host unaccompanied minors under 18 years old.
Minors accompanied by their guardians remain under their sole responsibility and must never be left unsupervised within the property.
Non-contractual visuals – Any document other than these Terms and Conditions (catalogues, leaflets, advertisements, etc.) has only informative value. Photos and layouts are for illustration purposes only.
Facilities and activities – Certain facilities or activities (e.g. Wi-Fi, swimming pool) may be unavailable due to weather, maintenance, or force majeure. Le Scahouët cannot be held liable for such situations.
ARTICLE 4. Prices
Prices applicable are those indicated at the time of booking (by phone, online, or on-site). Prices may change during the season and are expressed in euros, including VAT.
Any change in the VAT rate will proportionally affect the total price.
Included in the price:
Rental of the accommodation as described;
Water, gas, and electricity consumption;
Access to the estate and its facilities (unless stated otherwise);
One parking space per accommodation.
Not included:
Local taxes (tourist tax);
Paid on-site activities;
Optional services such as mid-stay cleaning;
Security deposit;
Cancellation/interruption insurance;
Optional equipment (baby bed, etc.).
ARTICLE 5. Payment Methods
5.1 Payment terms
Full payment of the stay is required:
30 days before arrival, or
Immediately for bookings made less than 30 days before the start date.
If payment is not received by the due date, Le Scahouët may consider the booking canceled and retain any amounts already paid.
5.2 Accepted payment methods
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard),
Bank transfer,
Cheque in euros (only if received more than 30 days before arrival, by registered mail).
On-site payments can be made by credit card or cash. Cheques are not accepted on arrival.
5.3 Credit card payments
Accepted cards: Visa, Mastercard. American Express is not accepted.
The transaction is charged immediately after verification. By providing card details, the Client authorizes Le Scahouët to debit the deposit or full amount.
In case of fraudulent use, contact +33 (0)6 60 10 99 88 immediately.
ARTICLE 6. Services Not Included
6.1 Tourist tax – Payable locally; the rate may vary according to local regulations.
6.2 Optional paid services – Some services (mid-stay cleaning, laundry, etc.) are charged separately.
6.3 Cleaning – Final cleaning is included, but dishes and bins must be handled by the Client.
6.4 Security deposit – A €500 deposit is required on arrival (cash or cheque). It will be returned within 15 days after inspection.
Any damages exceeding the deposit amount will be charged to the Client.
6.5 Cancellation/interruption insurance – Optional, provided via Gritchen Tolède & Associés (Campez Couvert). Non-refundable once subscribed.
6.6 Optional equipment – Baby beds, high chairs, etc., are available upon request and subject to availability.
ARTICLE 7. Right of withdrawal
According to Article L.121-20-4 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services provided for specific dates.
No cooling-off period applies after booking confirmation.
ARTICLE 8. Booking modification
Requests for modification must be made at least 15 days before the start of the stay, by email or registered mail.
Le Scahouët will try to accommodate changes depending on availability and rates. If modification is impossible, the original booking terms remain valid.
ARTICLE 9. Cancellation Policy
9.1 By Le Scahouët
In the event of cancellation (except force majeure), the Client will receive a full refund, without any compensation.
9.2 By the Client
Cancellations must be sent by registered mail or by email with acknowledgment of receipt to contact@scahouet.com
.
The date of receipt determines applicable fees:
More than 2 months before arrival: Full refund
Between 2 months and 1 month: 30% retained
Between 1 month and 15 days: 50% retained
Less than 15 days or no-show: 100% retained
Optional insurance fees are non-refundable.
Any stay begun is due in full.
ARTICLE 10. Stay Details
10.1 Check-in / Check-out –
Check-in: from 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: by 11:00 a.m.
Late arrivals must be reported.
Failure to arrive within 24 hours without notice may result in cancellation without refund.
10.2 Duration – Minimum stay varies depending on season and accommodation type.
10.3 Condition of the property – Guests must return the accommodation clean and in good condition. Otherwise, a cleaning fee may be applied.
10.4 Pets – Pets are not allowed on the property. Violation of this rule may result in cancellation without refund.
ARTICLE 11. Complaints
Complaints must be addressed in writing to Le Scahouët, which reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one accepted upon booking.
ARTICLE 12. Personal Data Protection
Client information (names, dates of birth, address, email, phone, etc.) is collected for booking management and service improvement.
Cookies and third-party data may also be collected (see Cookie Policy).
All data is confidential and used only by Le Scahouët.
ARTICLE 13. Image Rights
During their stay, Guests may be photographed or filmed in group settings.
The Client authorizes Le Scahouët to use such images on its communication channels (including social media) for up to 5 years.
Guests can revoke this consent at any time by writing to contact@scahouet.com
. No compensation will be due.
ARTICLE 14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by French law.
In case of dispute, jurisdiction lies with the Courts of Vannes (France).
Clients may also contact a consumer mediator: CMAP – Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris (www.cmap.fr
).
Digital records maintained by Le Scahouët serve as valid proof in any legal proceeding.
ARTICLE 15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid due to legislative or judicial changes, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
